The cost for a class at MPC is mainly based on the number of units associated with the course. When looking at a class the MPC online class schedule, the number of units are listed in the 'Units' column.
In the MPC printed class schedules, the unit count is listed in the area for 'Units of Credit'.
For students who are classified as California residents for tuition purposes, the cost for a course is the enrollment fee multiplied by the total number of units.
Enrollment Fee x Units = Cost of Course
For students who are classified as a Nonresident for tuition purposes, the cost for a course is calculated by adding the enrollment fee and the nonresident fee. Then, use the combined amount and multiply by the total number of units.
(Enrollment Fee + Nonresident Fee) x Units = Cost of Course
In addition to the cost of a course, students may also be responsible for course material fees, term/semester fees, and other optional fees.
